What is it?
The Invisalign system uses a series of comfortable, removable, invisible clear plastic aligners that no one can tell you’re wearing. So you can keep smiling during treatment as well after. Your individually designed Invisalign system is developed with 3-D computer imaging technology.
Why would I want Invisalign?
Comfort and convenience- the Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible and can be removed this allows normal eating and drinking while in treatment as well as easy flossing and brushing. The aligners are very comfortable, all plastic and without the metal pieces and metal wires used by braces, which can cause discomfort and mouth abrasions during treatment.
Time Saving – Invisalign saves time because you will spend less time in your orthodontic office getting adjustment for the metal wires of your standard braces. The Invisalign individual virtual treatment plan is available for you to review when you first start treatment so that you will be able to see the positions of your teeth and how straight you teeth will look upon treatment completion.
How does Invisalign work?
Each set of your comfortable plastic aligners is worn for approximately two weeks. You only remove them to brush, floss, drink and eat. As you continue replacing each aligner with the next set in your series, your teeth become straight little by little and week-by-week – until they are straighten into the final position prescribed by Dr. Freeman you only need to visit Dr. Freeman about once every six weeks to ensure that your Invisalign treatment is progressing as planned. The average Invisalign treatment time is between 9 and 20 months.
The average number of aligners worn during treatment varies from case to case but is usually between 18 and 30 aligners.
Consider using Invisalign to achieve the beautiful straight teeth you’ve always wanted - without braces. A complimentary consultation with Dr. Freeman can determine if Invisalign is right for you
